Kayleen Edwards started writing at age nine during the divorce of her parents. After feeling that the church had abandoned her and her family, she wrote letters to God in her despair and began her passion for expressing her feelings on paper.

She wrote her first poem when she was 14, and began her first book, "Why Didn't God Stop the Rain" when she was 18. The book has taken 17 years to write; in which time the book has become "Are You There God?" Kayleen is a fabulous wife and mother to one daughter. The family currently lives in Knoxville, Tennessee. Kayleen is currently working on a second and third book.
